Passant Care
Are you temporarily in our region and need medical care, but can't see your own GP? Then we may be able to help you as a passant.
A passant is someone who is not registered with our practice but does require care. Treatment by a GP other than your own is possible, but only for acute or infrequent care needs.
Our GP or assistant will assess whether the care is currently necessary.
If there is no emergency or acute need, we will refer you to your own GP to make an appointment.
What we need from you
For your treatment, we ask you for:
- a valid ID
- your own GP's details
Passant Rate
A special rate applies to the treatment of passants. The Dutch Healthcare Authority (NZa) sets the maximum passant rates that GPs may charge.
In most cases, the bill must be paid immediately. Your health insurer can inform you whether – and under what conditions – the costs will be (partially) reimbursed.
